Feb 24 2025 RTAI Robotics Club Hosts First In-Person Member Event with Great Success
Back in 1946, when the first general-purpose electronic computer was born, no one could have imagined that just a few decades later, computers would become everyday tools accessible to everyone. Today, a compact smartphone has computing power that far surpasses those massive systems that once filled entire rooms.
Now imagine—fifty years from now, or perhaps in just five to ten years—every person might have their own personal robot, assisting with learning, work, and exploring the unknown.
With this vision in mind, the RTAI Robotics Club was officially founded. For our first in-person member event, we chose the open-source ROS2-based general-purpose robot system as our starting platform. Together, we’ve embarked on an exciting journey of discovery, challenge, and innovation.
